Hi, my name is Terry. I've lived in the Austin Texas area since 1979 (I'm a 5th generation native Texan) and while I've never lived anywhere but Texas, I do enjoy traveling/vacationing throughout the world and enjoy photographing the various places I go.

At the University of Texas I studied art (a sculpture major); most of my pieces I do now are edited photography, drawings and some painting. Professionally I draw computer chips (integrated circuit designer); It is very satisfying as a career, although in these economic times, it's one of those somewhat unstable tech jobs. I also operate a mobile DJ music business.

While I wish I could make a living doing it, my art is currently just a passionate hobby. I love the digital age... being able to go someplace, take a photograph... and then use the computer to manipulate that photograph into art, a process I enjoy from the shutter click to the last mouse click. I love finding the hidden shapes in a photo composition, whether it be a looming building, a nude body, or the underside of a bridge...the mystery of shadows and unseen shapes is always waiting to be discovered.

If I won the mega lottery - I'd retire and just do art til I died; until then, art will have to remain a hobby and I'll keep working the day job (when work's available) so that I can continue to keep the lights on.
